Coillard Hamusimbi serves as ZNFU’s Head of Member Services and Agribusiness, since January 2015. Prior to his current position, He served ZNFU in various portfolios starting as a Liaison Officer in 2004, Head of Outreach, Membership and Admin, and thereafter as Head Outreach and Membership up to 2014.
He began is carrier in 1998 at the Farming Systems Association of Zambia (FASAZ) as an Agricultural and Rural Development Research Officer, a position which introduced him to on-farm socio-economic research, rural development and agribusiness promotion. While at FASAZ, he designed, coordinated and managed a number of UN-FAO funded agricultural and rural development projects.
WITH over 17 years of active practice, Coillard Hamusimbi has gained practical and hands-on experience in agricultural development; lobby and advocacy; private sector driven rural and agricultural small scale agric-finance schemes development; outgrower schemes promotion; and agribusiness investments promotion and development. Currently he is one of the minds driving the Lima Credit Scheme, Bunjimi Asset+, ZNFU Agricultural Service Centres Development, ZNFU Visa Card and other E-services, and the Agritech Expo. He also represents the Union on a number of Agricultural and Agribusiness Boards.
