A well-recognized international microfinance specialist, had been the Executive President at Banco Adopem, since 2003. Previous to that, she was the Executive Director at ADOPEM ONG, and an economic and international affairs specialist at the Dominican Republic Central Bank. Ms. Canalda is also a founder of the Dominican Microfinance Network (REDOMIF), and President at the board of directors of the American Development Foundations (SOLIDARIOS), member of the board of directors at Microserfin (Panamá) and Microfinanzas de Puerto Rico. She’s also the former president of ABANCORD, the small and medium size banking association in the Dominican Republic. For the last 4 straight years she had been recognized among the 50 most powerful women in the Dominican Republic by Forbes and Mercado Magazine.
Ms. Canalda is an economist and holds a Master Degree in Business Management.
